Beware of incoming calls from abroad

After purchasing a large amount of personal information through illegal channels, scammers use virtual Internet numbers and forged numbers abroad to make fraudulent calls to domestic users, carrying out scams such as impersonating customer service, impersonating public security, procuratorial and judicial organs, and arranging loans on behalf of others.

As the cost of breaking the law becomes increasingly high, overseas fraud gangs have switched from setting up GOIP and fake base station equipment to using international communications operators to send mass text messages, bombarding mobile phone numbers in a certain area or number range with text messages and voice harassment, providing "customer sources" for downstream telecommunications fraud and online gambling.

The group text messages will be marked with fraudulent APP download links or websites. In order to circumvent censorship, the keywords in the fraudulent text messages often use variant characters. The servers of the fraudulent APP are often rented from overseas manufacturers, and some even use virtual currency to recharge.

1. If you receive an overseas call starting with "00" or "+", please be alert and be careful to identify it. If you do not have a fixed overseas relationship and need to contact frequently, you can contact the operator to block overseas numbers.

2. Any calls claiming to be from "public security organs, government departments, social security bureau" and requiring confidentiality of the call, cooperation with investigations, and financial review, or requiring money transfers or filling in payment passwords are all scams!

3. If you receive a call from someone claiming to be a "customer service" or "merchant" who claims that you can get a refund or claim, it is most likely a scam! Be sure to log in to the official shopping website to check for relevant information.

China Mobile

China Mobile users can activate it for free by sending “KTFSR” to 10086.

Follow the WeChat public account "China Mobile High-Frequency Nuisance Call Protection".

Enable the international number segment blocking function. If you want to block other types of harassing calls, you can enable the blocking function for the corresponding number segment.

China Telecom

China Telecom users who want to block international calls can first follow the WeChat public account "Tianyi Anti-Harassment".

Click Business Settings and select Smart Interception Settings.

Enable the function of blocking international long-distance calls and fraudulent calls.

China Unicom

To block international calls for China Unicom users, please follow the WeChat official account "China Unicom Micro Hall". Click Apply, select Smart Wo Service, find the anti-harassment blocking on the page, and click Free Order.
