Gift cards are a type of virtual currency officially issued by Apple that can be used to purchase and spend in iTunes stores.
Gift card codes can be redeemed for apps, games, music, movies, TV shows, and more on the Store, App Store, Store, and Mac App Store. Recipients can access their content on their iPhone, iPad, or iPod, and watch or listen on a computer such as a Mac or PC.

How do I redeem a gift card code?
To redeem a gift card on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
1. On your device, open the Store app.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the Featured section and tap Redeem.
3. Sign in with your Apple ID.
4. Tap "You can also enter the verification code manually."
5. Enter the 16-digit code, beginning with X, which can be retrieved from the My Game Cards page.
Tap Redeem. Once the redemption is successful, your account balance will be automatically updated.
To redeem a gift card on your Mac:
1. Start.
2. Click Sign In. Then enter your Apple ID and password.
3. Click your name. Select Redeem from the menu.
4. Enter your password again.
5. Enter the 16-digit code, beginning with X, which can be retrieved from the My Game Cards page.
6. Click Redeem. After the redemption is successful, your account balance will be automatically updated.
After the exchange is completed, you can check the balance in your Japan Store account.
Funds will be deducted from your account each time you purchase content until your credit line is exhausted.
Gift card codes by country
Gift cards are country specific. If you try to redeem a migo recharge gift card purchased in another country, make sure you redeem it in a Store in the same country. You cannot redeem a gift card outside the country where it was purchased. For example, a gift card purchased in the United States cannot be redeemed in a Store in Japan.
Therefore, you need a Japanese account to use Japanese gift cards.
